2. BEAULIEU SUR DORDOGNE

TOWNHOUSE

19 Rue Sainte Catherine

Beaulieu Sur Dordogne is one of the most attractive medieval villages in France. It is located in the Department of the Correze, Limousin/Lot Region of France.

Beaulieu Sur Dordogne is one of the most attractive medieval villages in France. It is located in the Department of the Correze, Limousin/Lot Region of France a hundred kms east of our Berbiguieres cottage which is located in the Perigord-Dordogne Department, Aquitane Region. Both villages are beautiful but quite different.

Our Cottage in Beaulieu is located in a larger village that has a medieval concentric historical area near the banks of the Dordogne with our historic apartment within these walls. Our house is elegant and exquisitely placed to enjoy the village and it’s many restaurants, patisseries, bars, notwithstanding it’s stunning church, chapel and historical sights- all within easy walking distance. It has the most significant church “portal” other than Notre Dame residing in it and is a stopping off point for pilgrims on their Santiago Compostela journey.

It also boasts one of the most prolific fishing spots in all of France and attracts people from all over the world to fish the many wonderful species found in the river.

Swimming, canoeing, hiking and fishing or just relaxing. It all happens in Beaulieu.

It is close to the amazing historical pilgrimage site: Rocamadour and also the incredible cave: Gouffre de Padirac. Then there’s the beautiful villages: Collonges la Rouge, Bretenoux, Saint Cere, Curemonte, the chateau Castelnau de Bretenoux, the fantastic vistas from hilltop towns; Agentat, Loubressac, Autoire, and Carrenac to name just some close and amazing tourist attractions.

A truly magnificent experience.
